Launch your TikTok Shop

It's clear since 2020 that TikTok has come to stay. And with it comes a lot of opportunities for selling on the social network.


TikTok established its presence as video shopping platform already in China. Now it's rolling out the TikTok Shop and new features to other markets.

* To open a TikTok Shop in US you need an invitation code from your account manager as of 28th November 2022. Requirements for an account manager:

  • Have an open and active Ads Manager account for a minimum of three months.
  • Have consistent ad spend in the Ads Manager account for a minimum of three months.
  • Spend a minimum of $10,000 per month in ad spend. 


Set up your shop

As of writing this article, TikTok requires you to have an active legal entity or conduct the business under your personal name in one of the countries.

The Dashboard gives you an overview of open orders, news & announcements and your Shop Health.



Add products

You can add your product inventory easily through web or the TikTok Seller App.



To get traffic and drive sales you might consider investing in ads that promote your video. Once your account got verified for the Shop you will automatically be able to obtain a TikTok Ads Account.

Follow the 3-step setup to start promoting your products:

  1. Provide your TikTok Business Center account (or create a new one)
  2. Provide your TikTok Ads account (or create a new one)
  3. Connect your TikTok account where ads will be shown
